The Human Connectome Project (HCP) WU-Minn consortium is pleased to announce an update to ConnectomeDB to support open access distribution of data and documentation for HCP-related projects beyond and in addition to the main WU-Minn HCP dataset.
What’s changed in the ConnectomeDB interface? You will notice that ConnectomeDB has gotten a bit of a facelift, but the changes are not difficult to navigate. Upon login to ConnectomeDB, users are taken to the Public Connectome Data page, listing multiple projects with released HCP-related data (the WU-Minn HCP 500 Subjects dataset released in June 2014 is listed first).
Select a project using the pulldown at the top left, or by clicking on a Project’s title. Once you are on a Project-specific page, note that selection of subject groups, download options, and browse subjects (opening the Subject Dashboard) have moved to buttons on the top right.
Along with these updates, we are releasing datasets from two projects:
Multimodal (T1w/T2w, rfMRI, tfMRI, and dMRI) imaging pilot data acquired across the lifespan, in 6 age groups (4-6, 8-9, 14-15, 25-35, 45-55, 65-75) using scanners that differ in field strength (3T, 7T) and maximum gradient strength (70-100 mT/m). Click for more information on data acquisition for Phase 1a and Phase 1b of the WU-Minn HCP Lifespan Pilot Study.
What’s in the WU-Minn HCP Lifespan Pilot initial data release? This initial release of WU-Minn HCP Lifespan Pilot data includes unprocessed data from Phase 1a, which includes multimodal data from 27 total subjects in 5 age groups (8-9, 14-15, 25-35, 45-55, 65-75). Unprocessed NIFTI images plus unprocessed data corrected for gradient nonlinearity distortion are available for download as a single data package for each modality that includes data from all 27 subjects (351 GB total) or as user-defined groups using filtering on the Subject Dashboard (go to “Explore Subjects” in the Lifespan Pilot Dataset). Access to the WU-Minn HCP Lifespan Pilot data is covered by the WU-Minn HCP Data Use Terms and does not require additional agreement.
Diffusion and structural imaging data acquired from 35 adults (aged 20-59) using the customized MGH Siemens 3T Connectom scanner, which has 300 mT/m maximum gradient strength for diffusion imaging.
What’s in the MGH-USC HCP Adult Diffusion data release? This release of data from the MGH-USC Human Connectome Project includes preprocessed structural and diffusion data acquired from 35 unrelated healthy adults (ages 20-59) using the MGH Siemens 3T Connectom scanner customized for high sensitivity and contrast diffusion imaging, as detailed in Setsompop et al., 2013. None of the subjects are the same as those scanned by WU-Minn HCP. Data may be downloaded in packages for each subject (6.8 GB), a group of 5 subjects (34 GB), or all subjects (237 GB). Access to the MGH-USC HCP Adult Diffusion data requires electronic agreement to a separate set of Data Use Terms.
Access Multiple project HCP data on the HCP website. Explore and download the above datasets via the ConnectomeDB database. Note: Please clear your browser cache before logging in to ConnectomeDB.
